You guys probably get asked this shit all the time, but unless you have some kind of personal wiki site which answers it this'll have to do.

I played all the pokemon games up to Emerald on the gameboy, but I've never tried any of the DS games. I tried running Platinum on an emulator but even with my decent computer it ran like shit. So I'm gonna buy a cheap ass DS lite or something on ebay. What games can I skip if any? B&W and B&W 2 look pretty cool, am I missing anything if I don't play the others? I feel like I've missed so much ;_;

tl;dr - I haven't played shit since emerald give me the best pokemon games on DS and the ones I can skip.
