You know I love all of the gens for what they are but holy shit why hasn't any of the other gens had as god-tier of a fucking ost as this game. I mean sure others have awesome songs but the entire ost for r/b is amazing.

I do like some of the songs of other gens though, like Route 26, Frontier brain, Slateport, Olivine, Pokemon league from gen 4
And the amazing last gym leader pokemon music of Gen 5

Junichi Masuda composed all of Gen I. Now he only composes the battle music (starting with Gen IV he collaborates with Go Ichinose for it). Maybe that's why.

I thought Gen 2 was better, coming from somebody who can't stand almost any other aspect of GSC. After that, you can't really compare, seeing as Gen 3 uses real instruments (trumpets).
