That is the absolute worst thing I have ever seen. I mean it would make sense as a pokemon, I couldn't say they are running out of ideas and just making inanimate objects pokemon, but seriously that thing is ugly as fuck and I would not train it. Yeah, some more chinese/japanese folklore creatures would be amazing, like fire type Amateratsu (sun goddess), dark type Tsukuyomi (moon rencarnation) or a flyinng/electric Susanowo (wind rencarnation). This could be an amazing legendary trio.

Looked into these Yokai and they fucking suck. Like come on japan these are the worst urban legend scary stories to tell in the dark bullshit myths ever.

Hey OP, I just sketched what I think that a Kasa Obake pokémon would be like.
It's just to show how the pokémon style would be applied, please have in mind that's just a sketch made in 1 minute.

I actually can't imagine an evolution for it right now, and I have no idea about how to turn a umbrella into something scary. I think that the Kasa Obake pokémon would probably be one of those that remains cute forever, evolving or not.

Actually you can't tell if it will be ugly.

GF may add something to it like make it a hybrid of some lanky long winged bird(think crane or stork) and umbrella and make it look somewhat cute.

Or give it a big cute eye, batwing like bell cap and cute bat ears.

Even -echoes- have their own embodiment spirits, in the form of Kodama and Sudama, which double as tree spirits. Literally the souls of trees. Grass-Ghost line? would be neat.
