I'm more excited for a Gen IV remake, as there were dozens of problems they should fix. Diamond and Pearl were the first DS Pokemon games made by Game Freak, after all.

Because the average age on this board is such that their first games were Gen II. So gen III was really fucking exciting for them. Like 'holy shit a new pokemon game'

Also there is a lot of interest in emerald right now because there's a popular app version of it
