>>11935516Because making a battle game with different core mechanics than the primary game defeats the point. Stadium is supposed to be glitz and glamour for pokemon battling, not a new system.
Anyway, what I'd like to see is something like Pokemon Showdown's team builder, at least for multiplayer (if there's a single-player mode at all). Let people build a custom team to their specifications for the fight.
I liked the rental pokemon in stadium but if the game isn't going to play at least as well as Showdown I'll never be able to justify spending money on it, especially since X/Y will have 3D battling on their own.
So the rental system in Stadium XY should be a fully-fledged team customizer.
