Yeah, handled burgh pretty well. Dontris and Melodie are my aces for this match. Dontris comes in on the heavy damage dealers and Featherdance/Roost/Wing Attack to stall them to death
And Melodie's charge + attack combo one shotted two of the fliers.
I got scyther into the yellow, and then he swords danced so Dontris whirlwinded him.
I swapped Raticate in, ready to sucker punch and finish scyther
Sucker punch hit but took him to a SLIVER
brick break...
game over for her...

so I pulled dilbert out of the box and trained him up, but im afraid of colress. Metagross line always scares me..

i'd say gligar, when evolve it into gliscor and you have a good pokemon with 2 immunities (electric, ground) and it is just generally a good pokemon

also you could just trade the razor fang from another game, it's not really cheating, i'd see it in the same way that i had to trade my magneton over to platinum in order to evolve it in mt coronet

HG/SS are amazing games, but the pokedex (coming from a kid who grew up and played a lot of gen one and two) feels really limited, and it involves a lot of grinding, because wild pokes are low levelled.

Kathy was sacrificed in the gym battle against Clay. I needed a Pokemon to take a hit from his fucking Excadrill to bring in Dewott in safely (on Set options), then take care of it completely.
RiP Kathy, you took one for the team. prior to this, I had never thrown a Pokemon to their own death, feelsbadman.

Poor little April, lost her against the gangbang of Team Plasma grunts. Those two consecutive battles was too much for her. You had potential, and I wish you could have seen Spring. rip in peace.

Once again, I almost lost King AGAIN in Mistralton Cave, while battling some Ace trainer. It again held on with 1hp. This makes it 5 times already. Truly the survivor of my team.

Been repelling the whole time in the cave, because I'm not sure if I want to try my luck with an Axew, or just ignore it and move on.

If this is you, >>11939135 , if you think about it, you don't really need a fire attack. I understand that you want some balance, but you'll only need a fire attack for some of Koga's mons. Any later would be against Erica. I'm sure by then you'll be able to get a fire pokemon/attack. And really, Donphan and another of your mons can take care of Koga, if that's what you're worried about.

But how do you stay immersed into the world?

I like to imagine that every trainer must deal with the same pokemon deaths as you. So it wont really make sense when I see the same Pokemon from my rival over and over again

Randomizer changes the rom.
When you load a save, it only loads data that affects things like your pokemon lists, PC lists, items, etc. Your Character. If the randomizer doesnt change any of that, then you can definitely randomize over again. I do it myself when I random shitty starters. I save right in front of the starters and re-random until I dont get 3 shitpiles for choices

you dont randomize a save file, you ranomize the rom. I just said that.

The save file is generated (in emulators) through the rom name. if you have Rom X.gba, it'll generate Rom X.sav

so if you randomize Rom X.gba and save it as the same name, when you load Rom X.sav with that rom, it'll be randomized, but you'll keep all your character data.

it only changes the ROM

the save file is not even an issue, you can randomize with no save file present

Depends if Bruce can kill the Solrock in a single hit. Otherwise, Solarbeam will blow his face off. What you really want is a steel type. If you can get one, find an Aron if you have anywhere left to get one. They're awesome little fighters, and once they turn into Aggron, you'll be able to roll pretty much everything the game throws at you.

hey you're using the same layout I do, nice. GLAD TO HAVE INSPIRED YOU

also, you'll want everyone to at least 25. 27 if you're not sure about your game plan. Make sure you check the dox, you dont wanna get caught off gaurd. Things to note: Masqurain is actually bug/water in this mod. Parasect has dry skin and a focus sash. scyther has a 1 hit ko combo, flying gem, technician, wing attack. you might wanna use your tanky audino to take that hit.

Thanks, any tips are more than welcome. I was actually planning on using protect on leavanny to get the flying gem to be wasted, but then I realised gems aren't consumed on missed attacks. Good job I checked I guess.

That's actually a great idea, it's pretty fast, has an incredible special attack and movepool. i suggest recover, psychic, thunderbolt (or thunder if you dont wanna try and get all the coins for it), ice beam(or something again with the coins)

When my pokemon die, I put them in a box labeled R.I.P.

If I find a revive, it lets me bring back one of them. Only ones I find will work though, can't be bought or anything like that. I usually find 1 or 2 when I do these runs.

anyways theres my team, i traded the magby egg over to hg, my logic was something along the lines of someone else doing something similar with a vulpix, and the fact that you got a chance at magby in the original gsc So should I continue with this?

Oh hey there all three people who have been missing me. I decided to do a Nuzlocke and it has been fun so far! It's also easily been my most successful (aside from maybe my Platinum Nuzlocke, which I STILL haven't finished for fear of wiping on the last few fights).

I've been super lucky and even managed to catch a Pidgey... but of course the ROM bork'd and I can't trade anything or save normally, so the poor Pidgey is stuck in the savestate. And I guess I have a Perma-Graveler as well?

Whenever I feel like playing again, next stop is Pokémon Tower. Hopefully I'll be getting my Growlithe to a level where I feel good about evolving him soon.

Butterfree and Hypno have been unexpected bros. I've never used Butterfree past Gym 2 (she usually dies pretty early in my Nuzlockes anyways) and I've never really had the occasion to use Hypno, but they've both been boss. Fearow has also been really awesome.
