>>11942592They were pretty funny (in a slapstick sense) even from the beginning. They weren't "comic relief" because the show isn't serious/dramatic enough for there to be anything to relieve the audience from.
I found it more jarring that they woke up morning and their personalities were completely gone. I don't care if it's a kid's show, that's just terrible direction. Even IF they were responding to some fan demand for them to be a greater threat, they still need to be themselves, because people liked these characters--if they didn't, they would have simply demanded better, different antagonists. Instead, we got different antagonists wearing the old antagonists' skins.
