What else is worth looking at?

Well, not so much "hate them" as "don't like the grinding aspects."
Granted, my last game was FireRed, so things have probably changed quite a bit.

Nigga I'm being dead serious here.
I watched the Anime up until Advanced, but found it really boring since then.
I played Crystal, Emerald and FireRed.
I really like the pokemons, the characters and the game themselves. I just don't enjoy the battle system.

You seem pretty clueless so I'll go easy on you.

You are the most casual of the casuals. You do not come onto a board of people who are hardcore into Pokemon and say lol raising pokemon is too much work and not expect to get ridiculed for it. If you don't like the main games, I can only assume you are not going to like anything else except maybe the baby games like PokePark Wii and Hey You Pikachu because if you don't feel like playing through a piss easy RPG then you definitely won't like a dungeon crawler like Mystery Dungeon or an SRPG like Conquest. I suggest you go find another franchise because if you get bored with the best aspects of it it's only downhill from here.

Try some of the Mystery Dungeon games.

Just be aware that the roguelike genre is a little hard to get into at first, but I'd say they make for some pretty fun games.
