>>11953983I had to step back for a second and take a look at the situation. A few things:
It seems that we are arguing two points. Mine being that foot fetishism is very common and yours being that most women (read, a majority, although you assert more than 80%) find it disgusting. So allow us to split the discussion and focus on each point separately.
First, my point. While fetishism certainly exists within a minority of people, there's evidence that suggests it is one of the most common amongst those with fetishes. Many search engine companies such as AOL and Yahoo have stated that amongst search queries involving the word "fetish", "foot" is most commonly searched alongside it (I searched for some links, but most I could find were news articles citing dead links). Additionally, research has been done suggesting that the sensory receptors for the genitals and feet lie adjacent to each other in the brain, and that it is not uncommon for "cross-talk" to occur (for more information check out

(You should also note that there are three "tiers" of fetishism. They range from a partialism to said object to exclusive attraction)
Now let's look at your claim. You assert that "80% of women would say a foot fetish is absolutelydisgusting.jpg, and maybe even half would call it a 'deal breaker.'" Unfortunately for you, I desperately searched for anything that could back up your claim. Shockingly, I found nothing. You really don't have a leg to stand on here, I'm afraid. And until some sort of actual legitimate study on public opinion of fetishism is conducted, you will continue to not have anything to fall back on. So yes, you are using your own personal experiences to assert that a claim is universally true.
Let's move on to your backhanded attempt to defuse the argument. You insult the party you're arguing with, reassert your baseless claim, then make an insulting assumption about your opponent.
