Environments take a longer time o make for a fully 3D game. If they could add this midway through the release of games it would bolster their longevity/replay value

If the Pokemon world is on par with the size of Earth, then they could do a lot more than Sevii Islands. However, if I was able to travel to other regions, old or new, and maybe even parts of real world areas (because if Lt Surge can go to France and catch a Pikachu, why can't I?) then I'd gladly pay a small DLC price for an update to the game. New regions definitely make a game more fun. It's why I played Silver and HeartGold more than any other game.

I'd call $5 for a sizeable expansion very reasonable. Anyone too poor for that would be too poor to buy the 3DS in the first place

I think some DLC would be awesome, and I totally wouldn't mind paying for it. I mean, I pay for extra maps in Halo and Sonic, why not for Pokemon?

If they're doing decently sized expansion what's wrong with it?
Day-one dlc that's just cut content from the maingame is cancer not simple expansions that you can download instead of buying them.
I mean that would be no different from the expansion packs for computer games.
