Hey /vp/, I’m here to ask for your help and advice. I’m in the middle of a screenplay for a low budget film about a group of nerds who go on a road trip to a convention. I want to write about all aspects of nerd culture in an accurate and affectionate way, not the “lol klingons” way that Big Bang Theory does. I haven’t played Pokémon in about seven years, so I wanted to run part of the script by you.

What are the chances it will end up shiny?
>Well I got this item after completing my Pokédex that quadruples my chance of getting a shiny Pokémon. So there’s about a 1/2700 chance. I got another thousand to go.
