>>11957752Saved. Will use in future. I have a similar story:
I was working at the primary school I used to attend. Now, back in the days when I was there, there were only a small few of us who played Pokémon, this was around the midpoint of 3rd gen and FRLG were the big thing. Skip to a couple of years ago and BW are now the big thing. Theres a couple of kids in the class who love Pokémon, they started in this school about a year after I left and are the same age as my little half brother.
One kid, who seemed to like me the most, was absolutely ecstatic to find out that I liked Pokémon. He reminded me of my brother (who I don't live with but talk to often) as he asked me for all the tricks of the trade of Black and White.
On one of my last days, I told him to get his mum to bring in his DS when she came to pick him up from school. She did so and I brought mine with me that day. I gave the kid the shiny Raikou event and some other very strong Pokémon and he was just over the moon about it. He was such a good sport and didn't show any signs of disrespect for older Pokémon whatsoever. His mum then offered to give me a lift to the library where she was working (and one of my friends was on work experience there) so he and I could have some battles.
Now that I'm in further education in a different town I don't see him so often, but when I do its always a delight so see him again.
Not all kid Pokémon fans are genfivers.
In fact, genfivers don't even exist.
