Why do you guys hate the elemental monkey trio? They're pretty cool and really aren't THAT bad in-game (98 Attack, 98 Special Attack, 101 Speed).

Besides, they're obviously the new Eevee.

I don't particularly dislike their designs. The only complaint I have is with the sheer number of times they appear on trainers' teams. It's like Game Freak thought they'd have some kind of Silence-esque effect on us, and we'd forget they existed if we stopped looking at them.

Simisage is very cool.
He is a green jolly monkey with an attitude and a sick pompaudor. What's there to dislike

Simisear is overshadowed by being in the same Gen as the superior Fire Monkey Darmanitan but he is not a lost cause. He just needed some tweaks. For example, remove the pot belly, that gay ass pose and change his facial expression. BAM! He is now acceptable.

Simipour is a trainwreck, no way around it. I don't know how the fucked up so hard, especially because I think all the basic formes are pretty cute

I can get disliking the other two, but Simisage is a solid pokemon design.
I always got the feeling that it and Pansage were originally the only family planned, and they added the other two later in development. It's the only one with a multi-layered pun in it's japanese name, and the only one that has a passing resemblance to a real world monkey species (leaf monkey with it's quiff and occasional markings that look like eyebrows or sideburns). It just comes across as being better thought out than the other ones.

I remember when all of them got shown I liked the water type one the most, but once I saw its evolution...blech

Anyone have a feeling that there's going to be an electric type one in gen 6? If these are based on the wise monkeys, there were actually 4 of them.

I loved monkeys until I was about 10 then I started hating monkeys because of some really annoying kids who were overly obsessed with them, and they were usually the hyper OMG LOOK AT ME I'M SO RANDOM kids.

I only really got over it when I was like 19, so now I like Aipom, Simisage, and other good monkey pokemon. Fuck Ambipom and Simipour though.
