Okay, to conclude all the discussion that went on in yesterday's thread..Is it agreeable that this team would suit Shinji best?
First off..
Genesect makes a good member for his team for obvious reasons. It resembles Eva Unit 1 (both slim, hunched over, both "CYBORGS", purple, created by scientists ect, ect)
Cubone fits pretty good due to..."hurr dead mother", that and the fact that it uses it's mothers bones as weapons, similar to how Shinji uses Eva Unit 1 in the resemblance that it was partially developed by his mother and actually has Shinji's mother's soul IN the Eva's core...err...
Spoink fits in pretty decent. It has to keep bouncing to stay alive which can kinda relate to how Shinji "has to" keep piloting the Evangelion or else he'll lose his self identity.
Shaymin also makes a good addition. The whole "hedgehog's dilemma" theme that goes on in the original NGE. Although Shaymin, while a hedgehog pokemon, is the opposite of that theme it should be remembered that at the end of the original TV series Shinji realized life was worth living even with all it's bullshit. Thus, a born again hedgehog.
As for arceus..
In part 2 of Rebuild of Evangelion, near the end of the film Shinji (enraged) awakens Eva Unit 1's god like power in order to defeat the 10th angel and (selfishly?) save Rei by ripping her soul from the angel's core. He basically did the impossible, brought someone already dead back to life and in the process of doing so, killed off 90% of the human race.
That's some pretty godly-like shit
And as for the "female" Lilipup.. In Evangelion 3.0 Shinji is referred to by Mari as "NERV's puppy." But the main reason I put him on Shinji's team is because everyone calls Shinji a little bitch and he kinda is.
