He's not being sarcastic, Magnezone is a strong counter to a lot of steel pokemon, most notable Bronzong, because Bronzong usually has nothing to hurt magnezone and can't escape

Why would you get obliterated by fire unless your enemy has a way of trapping you? Why'd you keep magnezone in if you know you can't fight whatever he switches into after frying his steel type?

If your opponent has another Steel type and you don't switch out after frying their first, you're an idiot. If they don't have another Steel, then who cares if Magnezone got killed, it already did its job.

Yeah, seriously. Pretty much the whole POINT of Magnezone besides the Steel typing is that other Steel types get raped by him. Things like Skarmory and Bronzong who otherwise cause trouble hit a dead end when they bump into Magnezone.

He's not particularly fast, but he's not the slowest either.

The main attraction for Magnezone is his high Sp. Atk. Though if it's gen 4, you have to use a TM to teach it Flash Cannon

Flash Cannon and special Tri Attack were excellent boons for Magnetite's line. You'll also want HP Fire or HP Fighting for Steels that resist Electric, like Steelix.
