Never played BW but I just found a fuckton of them on japanese youtube and realized I have no clue what to call them. They're just the "boss characters" for the subway trains, right? Why are they so popular? I'm curious.

That's official, though. It looks great, sure, but it's official company stuff - it's expected to! They have a ton of artists and animators and shit to handle everything, quality checking and so on.
...And then there's this one guy in a basement who makes a fan animation with the same quality, all on his own. That just feels way more impressive, even if it's not quite as good on a technical level.

the reason why emmet dies most of the time is probably because hes the only thing ingo cares about apparently, so losing that one thing piles on the angst like the meat bowl from persona 4. ingo is far more popular than emmet because he's tall dark and mysterious. ladies love tall dark mysterious men with troubled pasts.

if theyre really sadistic they kill off ingo to play "Break The Cutie" with emmet, so to speak.
