Same with Goku, the Eds, Johnny Bravo, etc. Does them making him revert to having no skills in battle at the beginning of new seasons annoy me? Of course. I still think Snivy beating Pikachu is the stupidest thing in the history of the show. But he still has a charm to him and from the start of his journey to Sinnoh he was still learning and didn't look bad. The Sinnoh league was him at his best. But they had him full on press the "Reset" button in Unova and that was pretty frustrating.
None the less, I still find it fun to watch him get new Pokemon and see new places. He still has some great battles from time to time, especially near the end of a region. As said earlier, Sinnoh was the best show of this because he gathered all his Pokemon and looked like a legitimate badass. They took it one step further by making him the only one to beat any of Legendariesfag's Pokemon. His final Orange League and Battle Frontier battles, and other league battles were pretty good too. Well, besides the Unova league. The Unova league was such bullshit,
