I don't breed pokemon because it's inhumane. Imagine leaving 100 puppies on the street, just because you're trying to find the strongest one. Cloning is the future of genetics and Pokemon. Deal with it

I use them to create theme teams that I'll never use. The last one I made was a team with 6 Pokemon themed after Madoka characters.

They're fun to make and have around, anyway.

I use gen to test teams. Once I get what I like, I breed what I can and trade or RNG the legendaries that I need. Dealing with IVs, EVs, and egg moves is a pain in the ass to someone who understands it. Now consider the fact that Pokemon is a child's game, and you can see why things like pokegen can be good. Then again

Really all I do when I use it screw about with movesets and see what goes. i dont use them to help me advance the game, just to screw about when I am bored.

I use PokeGTS things just to fill out my Pokedex. That and to get a female Pokemon of something I actually want to train so I can raise its babies. But I only do this after I beat the game and try to catch as much as I can and deal with all the legendaries.
