so false. there was elite stall game with any toxic and wrapping/firespin/clamp combo. There are some heavy ovelooked tanks. Snorlax, Tangela, Cloyster just to name a few.

why is hypno so overlooked as a top tier pokemon at least for gen 1. I know alakazam is a speedy sweeper, but hypno can hold his own weight and has near as high a special with a better recovery in dream eater?

i don't see the glitch. have you ever played mortal combat? and it was original gameplay. because they changed it doesn't make it a glitch. Plus how would using an opener of Electrode spaming Thunder Wave be a glitch? it certainly is a beautiful stall tactic. Status ailments are a huge part of gen one. Sleeping teams are some of the best in gen1

You mentioned the trapping moves. The ones that stopped the pokemon affected from doing ANYTHING while it was active. Incredibly broken.

It wasn't glitched back then, it was intended to do that, they just didn't realize it was so powerful so they nerfed it the next gen.

And of course had the whole sleep of issue of taking up a turn to be freed from them, so they know to do it again next turn. I spent so much time raging at Lance's wrapping Dratini's in pokemon stadium, only thing to do is hope for a miss.
