I only remember going to theaters to see this because two very drunk and/or high college dudes were sitting behind me and my dad. They shouted out every Pokemon's name as the appeared during the Pikachu's Vacation and absolutely lost their shit during all the strange scene transitions in that short.

I remember getting the Burger King toys for the first movie and Pokemon 2000. I had a Raichu, Oddish, and Psyduck one I think. The pokeballs they came with were cool

That happened to my mother's Shining Charizard card. She was into the whole booster pack thing and her one mission was to find Charizard. Imagine her surprise when she didn't just find Charizard, but SHINING Charizard. She squealed so loudly in the car.

I found it amidst a pile of knickknacks years later and pocketed it. I forgot all about it, but it was too late when I finally remembered that I had the card in my pocket when I put it through the wash.

What's more bad ass then blastoise shooting water in real life.

Plus when this came out I got the blastoise filled it with water and soaked up my brother's beanbag snorlax, making it squishy and not fun to play with therefore defeating it making the squirt toys superior and better then all the other Burger King poke toys
