Because most people on /vp/ are older than on those other communities. Those other forums usually have posts counts so people expect the people with high post counts to have high forum approval and credibility. I also got sick of those signatures and shitty motivational quotes.

It's easier to get into the community than forums.

If I were on a forum this post would probably just be ignored (not to say it won't be ignored here) and such because my post count would be low. Then another "high-ranking" member would come along and make what turns out to be more or less the same post and everyone would jerk off to his post and ejaculate on their keyboards for him. It's just stupid. Maybe I'm just jaded, but still...Anonymity is so much better than that shit.

Plus, you guys are fucking hilarious. And informative. And sometimes nice.

I also like how everyone can have their own opinion, rather than just going by what everyone else says to save face.

They have bad opinions on lots of stuff, but Pokemon is definitely one of the worst
I've never seen one person who likes any game besides GSC, and alot of them are still under the impression that GF is "running out of ideas", that the new gens are overdesigned/lazily designed, etc. I've also seen that some of them use Facebook
