Gen 6 may break the pattern because I really like Chespin more than Fennekin. If Fennekin's evolutions look like ass or there's a fire type I like more available to catch I'm choosing Chespin.

My favorite for each gen is the same except replace Snivy with Oshawott.

I'm not sure what I'm picking for VI, but I'm leaning towards Froakie.
