Though I'm not a professor, I feel like every kid should have a basic knowledge of how to act in the event of a mishap, and basic dos and donts.
Like my Bisharp raked down my arm in a secret handshake sort of deal, and since I didn't know that at first, I assumed she was mad or hated me. When in reality, she saw me as a fellow Bisharp, and she wasn't aware that my skin is well, skin, and not made of metal.
With pokemon, it's a lot of pre-planning and trying to prevent accidents, since accidents can really hurt people or pokemon.
Not sparring with a Machop is just silly, though. I mean a Machoke or Machamp I can see some perhaps fear or tentativeness about, but a Machop needs discipline before it evolves, or else once it does evolve, it's really going to hurt you on accident since it's never learned restraint.
Also, I just left the Larvesta with nurse Joy, since something came up.
She's in a premier ball and my name is Ezekiel, so just give her that information and she'll have no trouble giving the pokemon to you.
