Since Pokemon can be broken down into digital code and sent through PCs and across the globe, wouldn't they also be considered Digimon?

no because they can't/don't stay in their digital form.
Also i don't think they are sent directly through a pc as data, they just get teleported somehow like in star trek or something

You can store them on servers in data form indefinitely.
One of them was actually born as computer data programmed by man.
