alright /vp/ I want to see if I can help end an argument we've had for awhile.

Just to start off I don't see the need in new types nor am I saying they need to be added. However there is no evidence what so ever to say they won't be added.

the only thing we ever use as evidence is opinions or the occasional "they don't want to confuse people" which again is not a sound argument, because there is nothing to support that claim.

Types are not balanced
Grass, ice, and poison are barely usable while types like Steel & Dragon are vastly overpowered.
Fighting is only seems as powerful due to its usefulness

New types may not be needed, but neither were steel and dark, types could have been fixed if they where never added.

and I'm well aware people don't want Pokemon to turn into light v.s dark nonsense.
but Light doesn't mean good

and just to stop the whole fighting and/or Psychic is Light type
Fighting is martial arts sure that means honor but Light =/= Honor
Psychic is mental energy, magic, aether, mana and psionic powers
and if you want to know the truth Ground, rock and steel being all parts of what could have just been "earth type" sort of proves that light, Psychic, Fighting could be parts of a similar set.

I'm only using light because it has the most hate around its debate

so /vp/ tell me using actual facts and official statements why there can never be a new type.
