I see a lot of love on /vp/ from Gens 1, 3, 5, and today for some reason 4. I feel like Gen II needs it's spot in the light. This is not a thread for talking shit about the other gens. This is a thread about Gold, Silver, and Crystal.

Reasons why this is the superior gen:

>Two new types
>Two regions
>16 Badges, Elite 4, Champion
>You get to fight Red
>Breeding, eggs, and babies
>Karate Master Kiyo returns
>Introduction of branched evolutions
>Introduction of hold items
>Team Rocket returns
>Battle Tower in Crystal
>Female player character option
>You still get a Snorlax and Lapras
>Introduction of shinies
>Item Pack organized with 4 sections
>7 new types of Pokeballs

Shit points:
>No Safari Zone
>No fossils
>No Mew, Mewtwo, or birds
>Changed Magneton's type
>Sprites aren't as unique as Gen 1's

Pros clearly outweigh cons. I love all the other Gens, but Gen II is god tier.
