"But why"
"Isn't that what they use in europe?"
"They should be using OUR system"
"Lets just use ours, that doesn't matter here"
"They need to catch up to us already"
"They don't matter why are we using metric for them"
One time the teacher said its because if we work in a lab or hospitals, they all use the metric system
"Then we should pass laws to change that!"
"We have american cars that dont use it, make the hospitals and labs stop using it too! Make it illegal!"
