Guys, guys!

I cannot get the feels I got when I played Pokémon Yellow back in 2000.

I cannot feel that happy again doing anything, not even playing Pokémon Yellow again.

What went wrong?

Childhood memories feel the most fond to us because everything is still new and exciting, and it pleases our minds. The more familiar things become the less interesting they are, assuming they have remained the same throughout time, this is why I never revisit old vidoe games or films that I know to have had this affect on me because it ruins the image I have for them.

In other words, everything is great when you're young, reminisce on the memories and leave them in a good image instead of risking the disappointment.

I felt like you for a lot of time.

It was fixed when I played B2 without knowing anything of the game and doing a nuzlocke. Just avoid as much info of X/Y as you can and then do the same.
You will rediscover this series again.
