A bloo bloo, nobody bitched when Bronzong's levitate left him with only a single 2x weakness. Magnezone still gets hit by fighting 2x and fire 2x, and his only real purpose is a steel revenge killer so everyone runs Magnet Pull anyway, it's not like levitate breaks him.

It's just ridiculous. Fucking Eelektross gets levitate and he clearly has fucking feet, and Magnezone, the magnetically-levitating UFO doesn't?

Makes sense, Its one thing to have Bibarbel have it.
It's another thing for Smergle to have it, Stall until it gets the desired boosts, and then BP it.

I love both the gen 3 pseudo's, Flatdragon because "OMG A SUPER COOL DRAGON" from when I was nine or ten, and metagross because I've just grown to appreciate it more now
and I've got to say, my inner child was overjoyed that they made salamence more broken than it was before, but Metagrosss kinda got shafted because of it so it's also kind of a win/lose situation over those abilities

So much butthurt over randomness and a small chance to get an Evasion boost. I recall one Smogonfag on their forums going full autism and ranting about the 1/1000000 chance of the Ability making a Bidoof or Bibarel super saiyan and how broken it is.

Why would you want to replace Clear Body with anything else anyway?
Oh, your opponent is using Shadow Ball to take advantage of its neutrality and Metagross' lower defense stat?
Too bad you can shrug them off so long as HP is invested in and Sp. Defense doesnt drop. Which it cant.

It's more of how there's no skill in using it.
All one have to do is Protect/Sub stall until they get the stats boosts they want and sweep.

Not to mention with Smergle and Baton pass...
So I'm glad that they have banned it in the first place.

It was honestly probably worst of all on Octillery. Suction Cups means that you can't faze it out and it has such a godly offensive movepool that it can lay waste to anything provided it gets the right boosts.

You're right, my bad.

I stand by that statement, though. It has the best offenses out of any other Moody user, and its defenses aren't anything to sniff at provided you get the right boosts.

Are you seriously comparing Magnezone to god damn Bronzong? Magnezone is a 130 Special Attack tank while Bronzong is a 89/79 mixed tank whose strongest attack is Gyorball. Bronzong is in the position where it is a hard counter/check to a select group of few Pokemon while being pure setup fodder for the rest of the game. Magnezone would still be a useful attacker if it didn't have Magnet Pull, especially with the addition of Volt Switch.

You'd also always get hit first and be subject even more to status effects.
You're much better off with Gravity to just use stuff like Thunder and Hydro Pump over Thunderbolt and Surf at that point.

Trick Room Analytic is only a good strategy if you're facing an opponent who has no idea how to play Pokemon.

Bronzong was a defensively oriented pokemon with an assbasket of resistances and ONE weakness.

Magnezone is slow and its bulk gets destroyed by fire and fighting, two of the most common competitive types. It doesn't need a 4x weakness to quake ANYWAY, never mind needing it badly enough to completely ignore the fact that IT IS CLEARLY A LEVITATING POKEMON.
