>>12063221>How can you be a bitch to someone who NEVER knows shit about shit Easily. Have you ever tried to teach a toddler how to do anything? You don't start with "not like that, you're such a dumbass."
And regardless she was generally hostile in the episodes that I saw. She wouldn't let up on Ash if he made mistakes and she'd fiercely criticize any of Ash's ideas, even the good ones.
>How the fuck does Ash get most of his Pokemon It was different. When Ash (or other trainers) befriended Pokemon they had to go to great lengths to earn their trust. Iris sat in a room with the Dragonite for ten minutes and barely interacted with it aside from, as the wiki reminded me, touching it and reading it's mind (which I didn't know could happen in Pokemon outside of those movies
(what I'm getting at is that when other trainers wanted to know what happened they got to know the Pokemon well enough to understand it without resorting to Goku's "Did I tell you I can read minds" trick)). There was no real bonding in that episode, or at least not any that happened onscreen.
>And she's not egotistic, if anything she's very insecure about..... It's easy to explain egotism as insecurity to brush negative traits like that under the rug, but it doesn't excuse the egotism. For everything that happened to the main characters in those earlier episodes, Iris thought she just HAD to be at the center of it all. That whole Tepig episode she kept insisting that she should get Tepig despite doing nothing to help it and it quite honestly not seeming to like her. She thinks everything revolves around her but she does nothing to make herself WORTH revolving around.
Look, let's make this simple: instead of me bitching about her and then you bitching about me bitching about her, tell me what it is you LIKE about Iris?
