How much of a different in stats will you lose if you evolution a Pokemon using a stone without EVs.

Say I evolve a Jigglypuff to Wigglytuff at LVL 1 vs evolving it at LVL 50.

EVs are completely unrelated to evolution. They are only affected by battle participation/experience gain.

OP I wonder this as a kid forever and it kept me from evolving.

In short it is like this:
Evolve early for good stats and lose any chance of learning moves.
Evolve late for moves (or for normal leveling pokes higher tier moves at a lower level) at the cost of sucky stats.

A few pokes like the ones that need to be traded to evolve ignore that logic. As soon you evolve your Abra then trade in that sucker for no negative effects and godly stats.

That is pretty much all there is to it.

But my question is do the stats catch up when they evolve or have you traded moves for lose of stats.

You can EV train before you evolve or after you evolve, it doesn't affect anything.

The base stats of a Pokemon change the same exact way no matter when they are evolved.

I am pretty sure it honestly don't matter when you evolve them but I not a wiz kid when it come to the mechanics of the game. I am 99% sure your base stats just increase and everything else stay the same. Training a Pikachu or a Raichu don't matter when it come to stats.

This wouldn't be the first time I could be wrong though.
