Yes, but it'll never happen as Pokemon toys don't sell in America anymore, which is why they're TRU-only now since Tomy took over.

I've been to Targets on both sides of the US in the past month or two, one in Oregon and two in New Jersey, and they both stocked the Tomy toys.

I bought an Oshawott plush at one. Had Toy on the tags and everything.

Maybe because it'd cost a lot to make plastic molds for 650+ Pokemon. But it would be very cool if they did. I'd probably buy some of these every time I go to the store.

All stores have them now. Walmart has the new TOMY stuff, and Target is where I picked up the Keldeo Masterball thing. (It's actually about a dollar and some change cheaper than TRU)

I'd love something like that but I don't really think people would be buying them a lot. There's usually a range of Pokemon that are "fan favorites" and no matter how much we all love Dunsparce, he's just not one that they'd have.

I can see them having a small set of like 5-10 Pokemon though in those little Gashapon ball things they sell at some stores. Target still has them in the front I think...there's like Mario, Sonic and Zelda ones, although now I think the Mario ones are in blind bags instead of the balls.

Realistically, they'd all have to be scaled around in size. The TOMY figures are a good indication of that where you can have something like Pikachu being the same size as like Snorlax.

In a ball container you wouldn't be able to feel them up either....although like the gashapon things I mentioned in the previous post, they usually get opened up in the store by stupid shits.

You do know that they partnered with MegaBloks in the past and produced playsets, yes? The reasons behind this is because getting lego partnership is hard, and they're obscenely picky about what you can and cannot make into minifigs.

MegaBloks lets you do whatever when it comes to minis.

Well, this is how they get ideas from fans these days ( http://lego.cuusoo.com/ ). But, they keep their minifigs in that specific style, and they refuse to update or change them at all. Lego Friends was the first update to their minifigs they've ever made in the past 60 or so years.

They refuse to change their minifigs because it's iconic.

As for them being picky about officially licensed stuff, they only produce things that they feel will make them a lot of money. MegaBloks readily grabs up the rest of the slack as they charge much less for licensing. Kreo is Hasbro only. Nintendo has also worked with K'nect in the past as well.

I think with megabloks, they'd also probably end up making a bunch of new molds for Pokemon since they've done that with the Halo and Skylanders lines. With legos, if you can't make it with the preexisting pieces they're not gonna make custom ones for a franchise.

I'd love to see lego ones, but hell, I think we need some sort of model sets over here honestly.

I honestly wouldn't say that LEGO is picky even remotely nowadays. Practically anything new from them is a set based off of a movie or sets that are remakes of older sets.

They also have that Cusoo program as well. Hell, Minecraft received its own official LEGO set.
