I spent 6 hours one day looking for it because I had finally decided that I wanted a milotic.

I only got to the second river area before I gave up, came back an hour later and fished randomly in a spot I had never checked before and low and behold, there she was.

wasn't as gratifying as I had hoped but I can honestly say I caught feebas the legit way.

FIrst time playing Saphire when it came out. First time on that route and figured id fish a little. BAM! Feebas appears. Had to of been only the first or second try. I caught every new pokemon I found. No home internet or me back then so I had a no info on anything. mfw later i found out how rare it is in that game. I did.

I found one the first time I fished; I just walked up when I first got into the route,fished, and I found one.
I couldn't even swim yet

I ended up evolving it on oran berries and that one berry you get from that chick depending on what number your trainer ID ended in.

I don't know why people think it's so ridiculously hard.

When I was completing my gen IV Pokedex I actually borrowed a friend's Platinum and spent about four hours fishing in the underground cave place. It was honestly in like the final 15% of the tiles I fished in.
Found it though, and then I traded a Milotic for a Garchomp on the Wi-fi, so that saved some time.

My girlfriend wanted a Milotic for the longest time. I spent about 7 hours fishing for it once on Platinum and got annoyed. Just last week though we were watching the DP episode with the "world's strongest Magikarp and Feebas" and I happened upon the tile during that episode. I caught about three and bred about eighty. Still yet to evolve it, but that's the easy part.

Borrowed a Milotic from a friend for breeding purposes, bred a bunch of Feebas. Didn't bother with that Berry mixing crap, I had the dex entries and that was enough. Luckily, when SoulSilver came around, the massage parlour and Daisy's massages rectified that. And that is how I first completed my living pokédex.

I did... gave it several dry-flavored whatever-the-name-of-the-candy-back-in-Hoenn and realized that I severely fucked up. The ones I made were low-level and didn't raise its beauty enough. So I bred it and started again. Got my Milotic and she was a beast in Beauty contests.

I did. Amazingly enough, I can't believe I wasted my life doing that. I breed so many of those fuckers and traded them off to people for pokemon with good IVs

I remember those days... I was so obsessed with 32 (I forgot the max?) IVs or something, wanted to breed them all to create more I could trade. I just ended up going from cartridge to emulator since I got bored of it, then i stopped playing altogether

Got Feebas in Sapphire, can't remember on which replay. I got really lucky because I tried to get a Carvanha on the only spots which you don't need Surf to access and wham-bam thank you ma'am, and there was a Feebas. At that point I caught probably 10+ Feebas because I forgot that breeding existed.

I can't say how long it took because I don't remember. I just know it took a LONG time, but it finally appeared. I wanted a Milotic with Mirror coat, so I bred it like crazy with a Corsola until I got the right nature and shit. Evolving the fucker was even worse.
