For the time, the game was amazing, especially considering hardware limitations.

Going back and replaying is almost undoable, simply because of how archaic they are compared to the newer gens.

>That said, I still prefer the simpler designs of Gen 1 over things like Electivire and Sylveon

But in this day and age, gen one is so outclassed that you really can't have an opinion that says you honestly like gen one the most out of all, because it's like comparing a book to a book that is superior in every way possible and still thinking the original book was better.
