Why did they take them out? Same with the mining thing in DP. I don't get why they took it out, or at least didn't put it in in the new ones, I thought it was pretty well received.

I don't think any of the side-game type things in B/W are anywhere near as fun as those were.

That is because Pokemon should only be for competitive battling. If I had my opinion, the Pokemon wouldn't even have sprites. There wouldn't even be different Pokemon, just one for each type. Children are ruining Pokemon.

I liked them but they couldve been better. there were a lot of space issues that would hinder creativity and the base was really more for fun than it was useful. In emerald i'd put up some music tiles and run on those for a few seconds.

What we really need is something similar to Join Avenue but a lot more customiseable.

Loved Secret Bases in Hoenn. The ones in Sinnoh were okay but could have been expanded more. The only fun thing about those were the traps and the mining to find things like Max Revives.

This. Me and my friends would have our Pokemon hold items that we really needed, mix our records and then have a Pokemon use Covet to get said item. We also used each other for EV training.

Don't forget all items. I was pissed to find out that R/S didn't have all the items and even when Emerald came out we still were missing stuff like the Regi trio dolls. The hardest "base" to get items was your room in G/S/C. I didn't have anyone to Mystery Gift too and didn't have Stadium to get other items.

Got it in Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. Wasn't easy. The Smart and Cute Master Rank Contests were the hardest for me.

Because in Pokemon, every Gen offers something then is suddenly taken away in the next Gen:

Bases should be expanded upon so that you could make custom "gyms". Trainers could be placed and their teams are made up off pokemon you have. Even allow some custom puzzles with mechanics from the first 3 gens.

For me, Beauty Contests were won with Sunny Day, Flame Thrower and Overheat. Cool Contests were all about that Charge/Agility and Shock Wave.

Those were glorious days.

Don't remember what I did for Tough and Smart, though.
