/vp/ I'm having a serious issue.

I am 18 and have been playing Pokemon since Silver came out.

Here lies the problem. I caught my first ever shiny pokemon today. A shiny Ghastly on Leafgreen. But, it is on an emulator on my phone.

Yes, I do have a legitimate cartridge of every game since Silver came out. So don't start that arguement.

I just desperately wanted to know if I can transfer this Ghastly to my actual cartridge. If anyone could help, that'd be amazing.

Best you can do is try to figure out IVs/PID and Pokecheck it over to a cart.

It's a long and difficult process, but it can be done.

Don't see why you'd go through the trouble though since Pokegen exists.

Because this is the first ever legitimate encounter I've had with a shiny pokemon in the 12 years or so I've been playing and this is very important to me.

you do know that making a pokemon with pokegen doesn't mean its legit/legal and will pass hack check. If he just makes one with random stats in pokegen it will possibly get picke dup by hack checks and who knows gen VI might even implement a better hack check them previous games.

here's what you do, get the file onto your computer, send it via email, or something, doesn't matter.
Next, I think you can select a gameboy cartridge to run along side a ds game in desmume, when you do that, trade it up to a gen IV game.
Then, you get desmume wifi, and sync it up to wifi, and trade it to yourself over GTS, then boom, got yourself your shiny.

that is only if his phone emulator saves in a compatible format however. I've had emulators save in funky file structures.

OP, if your emulator uses compatible files, get a GBA flashcart, then trade it to an actual game.

Pokégen is completely capable of perfectly replicating an actual .pkm file if the person knows what they're doing. There's no such thing as a perfect hack checker, because Pokégen doesn't leave a trace that can be detected. Hacks are detected because people do something wrong when hacking. If you know how to do it right, no hack checker on earth will be able to catch it.

Not that I'm advocating it, I'm just saying it's possible to create perfectly legal Pokémon.

Why do you people do this? It seems like twice a week someone comes in and asks the same goddamn thing. Just suck it up and accept the loss or pokegen it. I dunno. I've had my share of shinies, and that likely makes me biased, but why should they even matter if they're on a rom? If your argument against pokegen is illegitimacy, then they wouldn't technically be legit to start with.

I'm not op but I would say in my case I'd want the same one because using pokegen willg et me the same stats but there is different data recorded in the pokemon like the pokemon id and such that are generated depending on other factors which means using pokegen doesn't get me my shiny it gets me a shiny.

also I don't think OP's argument was about illegitimacy it was possibly similar to what I said.
