Technically, how old are Pokemon?

If an Alakazam is at the mental age of a 5000 year old Alakazam and it's only 1 year old, that would be a score of 5000.

Since we know some Pokemon live for thousands of years like Wartortle, maybe it's comparing it to that.

A just-evolved Alakazam is as smart as a 5000 year old Wartortle.

And since they never age, as shown from forever-10 year old Ash, Alakazam stays at that age and theoretical IQ score for a long-ass time.

Because in the wild if it's killed, it dies.
You can't trade in the wild. So you'll only get as far as Kadabra unless you get captured, and Alakazam know that.
