>>12079843You know, pokemon was really progressive for its time, I mean in gen one we got a game that basically contradicts itself with its story, giving us these fantastical monsters to fight with and an overall idea of how that isn't right, and that idea really led to a lot of people actually thinking about how we great animals.
I mean even in gen 2 we got a story about an outcast trying to become something more, challenging the beliefs of his peers and while yes he tried to make his own world he had a sort of tragic hero overtone that made it work so well.
Now game freak has just taken us back in time from gen 4 to focus on the back story of that guy on Mount silver and who team rocket was before Giovanni left, its such a striped down idea as if kids these days can handle a story whatsoever. Hell the designs are much simpler too. I miss black and white...
