There's almost no fire pokemon so I wasn't worried.
Still this is coming after the Platinum all Dark type run i did, so its much harder than that

How do I solve this dilemma? I'm playing HG right now, and my team is only about level 30ish. I want to be able to battle other players sometimes and not just get stomped by their 1 earthquake guy or what have you.

My team is currently:
Koffing
Arbok
Hypno
Machoke
Sunkern
Quagsire

I don't want to remove either of my poison Pokemon, but I desperately want to add in at least my Grimer. Removing Hypno from the lineup seems like the most logical choice here. Are there any other neat poison types in HG to look out for? How does the team look other wise? My Pokemon mostly know moves that stick with their types, except for Arbok knowing crunch. Any glaring weaknesses besides the poison heavy nature of the team?

I don't doubt that I could beat HG with an all poison type team, it's just other players that are the problem. Woe is me, I want to add Grimer and Golbat to my team but that only leaves me 2 Pokemon to attempt to fight the ground/psychic type menace with. And that's not even considering the types that aren't strong or weak to poison.

DPPt, you get it shortly after the second badge, before you reach the daycare. BW/2, you get it before the fourth gym; this is shortly after you get to the daycare in BW, and long before you get to the daycare in BW2.

Tentacool/cruel, I don't really like. They're not... purple enough for me, I guess. They feel more water type than poison to me.

I also don't have a friend with Pearl/Diamond, and have no idea how to do the whole WiFi trading stuff or have many Pokemon people would be interested. Unless they really like.... Sandshrew.

Just beat Burgh. Any ideas where to go from here?

I am pretty much only using Nidorino for support (lovely kiss + sweet kiss + toxic spikes) and it feels like wasted potential.

Evolite Boldore is tanky as fuck and Gigalith will be even more so. Xatu for two STABs, Confuse Ray and Me First shenanigans. Servine will do a contrarian set with Drako Meteor and Leaf Storm, DD DP IP Crunch Scraggy is my ticket to beating E4, this leaves Darumaka.
