I'm gonna do what LC guy usually does, and set up a new Competitive General, as I see no one in the catalog (I may have missed one, but I doubt it).

Anyways, sadly I can't do what LC guy does (give tips about LC), but I can give you a general knowledge of any other tier (even the silly tiers).

TOTT: What Pokemon do you want to drop or rise from a tier?

Also, here's a battle I had with my newest team, based around "the" core (Keldorus). The idea is suicide lead Skarm which I stole from an opponent on Showdown, as well spin blocking Gengar and a ScarfChomp as a general switch-in after the SkarmGar is down. Then let the hazards rack up damage, for so sending in the infamous core later on.

I'm thinking about switching out CBTtar for Weavile to deal with Starmie, but I'll lose a bit against opposing weather.

What I would do, is scarf it, and then switch it into a water type and get a surprise KO with HP Elec.

Considering celebi and latias are pretty much lando's only counters bug is the best fit.

Consider HP Ghost (or even Dark, lol). Not sure if it KO's Celebi, but is the middle term between Bug and Electric and lets you to get rid of Jellicent as well

I know there is an "unofficial" PU tier for pokemon that can't even stand in NU. Has smogon or other communities considered adopting that? I'd like a tier where wormadam/luvdisc/delibird are deadly forces

You won't be able to play PU specifically on any of the simulators though. Or, wait, I think PO has a NEU tier (Never ever used), which is PU. I believe.

That wouldn't help. Delibird is a few tiers down from NU. It would have to deal with Rotom-Frost, Lairon, Moxie Mightyena (dat Sucker Punch), Coil Arbok, Quiver Dance Masquerain, Glaceon, Swoobat, Ursaring, Persian, LINOONE, and more, who usually aren't that bad even in NU.

HP Bug EBelt Keldeo is a bait set. It's meant to eliminate Celebi and that's really all it needs to do. Eliminationg Landorus' most common and arguably best counter is worth losing some coverage.

Pretty much this, but it should be noted that some teams reverse their roles and use Keldeo as dedicated lategame sweeper while Landorus functions as the wallbreaker (usually with U-turn sets).

Isn't tyranitar a rain counter by itself? He can just beat politoed 1-on-1 or pursuit it if it decides to switch out.
The only real threats are specs hydro pump and focus blast. And since defensive is everywhere...

I also run max HP/Spe scarf final gambit victini for this ;_;

Generally the most successful teams around the core include a second Water resist. Usually something that can help to win the weather war. I personally used Rotom-W, but Celebi is by far the most popular choice for good reason.

Thundurus-T would probably work as well, simply because it's Thundurus-T and Thundurus-T is a total monster, but... well, it's not a lineup I'd feel comfortable with.

Tyranitar isn't guaranteed to win the matchup against Politoed let alone a whole rain team.

Right now any Pokemon that can just spam strong Water type attacks (offensive 'toed, Keldeo, ...) looks like it would have a field day with >>12093003's team. Truth is it might be more of a Water or Keldeo weakness than a rain weakness, but... well, you get the idea.

Generally, I think offensive teams prefer specially defensive, for the momentum provided by thunder wave/u-turn and the ability to counter a lot of threats that their attackers can't.

Keldeo and Gengar can make great use of it as well and switch advantage is always nice to have.

You could also run Calm Mind instead of Nasty Plot so your whole team can benefit from passed boosts to some degree.
