I'm a fairy supporter right from the get-go. When everyone was saying 'HIRO SAID FLYING' I decided to look into the exact quote and it wasn't what people made out at all.
When asked about revealing Sylveon's type, Hiro said:
"Well when it was announced, I said it was flying on twitter..."
And then followed up with:
"Please wait just wait for the announcement coming soon, Nintendo and GameFreak have been very secretive of Sylveon's type so I have to be careful. You will want to kill me when you find out!"
To me, as a fairy supporter, I was intially downed to hear the flying comment (Although considered the possibility he could be wrong), but when I read the second one, I perked back up because I realized he was covering. It was pretty obvious to me and I don't understand why people are still trying to dig up this 'BUT HE SAID IT WAS FLYING' crap. Judging by his posts here:

When the announcement came and it was Fairy, well I knew for sure it was going to happen. But even if he had said 'flying' I would have still thought he was covering. Fairy just makes too much sense to me.
But yeah, I think people are just getting hung up on this 'BUT HE LIED' because they want him to be wrong, they're trying to find holes in his alibi because they don't want a Fairy type or they don't want him to be right for whatever reason.
