Okay, let's have a ROM Hacks thread, /vp/.

I'm about to play Pokemon Fire Red Omega and see how much harder it is than regular FireRed.

Anyone here playing a hack currently?

randomize places of pokemon's appearances (so you are no longer stuck with 2 pidgeys and 2 rattatas every fucking time), sometimes also trainers and leaders pokemon. If you are feeling lucky, randomize moves and types of all pokemon.

I'm playing voltwhite 2, which is just a challenge hack with every Pokemon obtainable. It kind of sucks because the maker isnt good at moveset building and the 'vanilla' version that actual human beings other than himself are interested in is converted *backwards* from a version where he's fucked with all the Pokemons' attributes, so you wind up facing bullshit trainers whose Pokemon have impossible movesets whereever he missed a change.
