Is it true that, in gen 4 and 5, if you release a pokemon, you can find it again in the wild? I'm not sure about the chances, but I've seen data that would suggest that it's true, down to the last number in the pokemon's PID, their ribbons and the level they had when they were released. Now, /vp/, I call upon thee to test this hypothesis out for yourselves Also, post ITT if finding a mate that shares your childish obsession would complete your life forever.

Only if it has an HM move. So you don't get trapped somewhere.

regardless of whether or not it is true, it would be an awesome feature. Imagine releasing a level 87 tyranitar, and a year later leveling up a team of lvl 5 pokemon.>yfw Tyranitar is back >yfw "Can't escape!" >yfw "hurried back to the pokemon center" >yfw whathaveidone.rar

>>12105953 Imagine this, if you will
>Online Co-op Missions are in X and Y >Raise/Hack hundreds of Level 100 legendaries >Release them all over the place >Bring in some, like, 5 year-old who just got the game >Constantly run into a level 100 legendary >Convince him that they flock to you if you beat the elite four 400 times with a naturally caught Feebas. This would be paradise.

Grade A character development right there.
