They sure do talk about type advantages a lot in the new seasons of the anime.

I sure wished they did that when I was a kid, would of helped a lot with early games Pokemon

They should be hitting for super effective though, they do nothing in the same sense grass and flying "do nothing" to normal types, because there's no real reason for them to either resist nor be weak to those.

Steel on the other hand, rusts, which is even faster and more effective than erosion. And IIRC metals are more conductive to electricity than water.

Dragons are Cold Blooded so Ice pretty much quick kills them.

Steel vs Dragon is literally every story ever so it's fairly obvious.

They did do that in the earlier seasons.

Brock did all the fucking time. It was literally his only purpose, since his running gag wasn't funny anymore after a wall, and he had pretty much no personality otherwise.

By having those two types being stronger than the Dragons, what relevance does Dragons being as strong as Dragons have if there's stuff that's clearly stronger?

Yes, and doing so long enough with the force of a water type would cause the car to rust over and probably entirely break if you kept at it long enough.

If you kept slashing at the ocean with a sword, you'd just break your sword eventually.

Hell, for an easier example, look at the effect water has on bullets.
