I miss the Poke-Radar. It would've been good to have an increased chance of finding shinies, especially with the Shiny Charm.

Isn't that just a less streamlined version of the vs seeker? You just go up to a trainer who you wanna fight, press the vs seeker, and fight. With that kind of pokegear you'd have to figure out which trainer it is you're next to, sift through tens almost hundreds of trainers in your contacts, blah blah blah, idk, fuck that. pokegear was my favorite pokenav/tech type thing.

They almost always want to battle. And it's only 100 steps. Run til the dude you want to fight is off screen and run back. Takes literally 9 seconds if it doesn't work initially and 99% of the time they want to battle after you try again if you even have to try again.

Haha, yea either way I'm with ya. But if you did have the option of selecting who you wanted to follow you, not just the first guy in your party automatically following you, you could change it at any time. like a on-off switch or something in the pokemon's summary. that would be sooooooo rad. best case scenario

that way, you could also select the option of having no pokemon following you at all. for, you know, those kind of fags who would want that. and one more thing, if you wanted whoever the first pokemon in your party to follow you so you wouldnt have to go into the pokemon's summary to change who it is like, if you wanted it that way, you could switch it in the options menu to set/switch/or custom for whichever style you wanted. hm? hm? they won't do it any of it

I loved the pokenav (inb4 hoennbabby) because i could at least see which trainers were ready for a rematch instead of wandering around with the vs seeker hoping someone wants to fight. And if they didn't, walk around to recharge the steps and repeat

Yea, and you could get money when you needed it. So awesome. If you think about it, you have a very, very, very finite amount of money before you reach the elite four. And some games, after you beat the elite four since sometimes you can't challenge them again right away. Like FireRed and stuff.

poke radar was my favorite in-game item, i spent most of my platinum post-game shiny hunting. it was engaging and rewarding. i wish they'd have brought it back gen V.
the VS seeker isn't needed in gen V due to the white treehallow/black tower- it's basically designed for grindan'
