hey /vp/ - first legendary you caught?
I'll start
Zapdos, took me like a gazillion tries to weaken him and give him a ultra ball. After a billion defeats I showed my friend. It was at low health and paralised I said
"Look at this bull" and threw a great ball
I caught it

Wasn't sure weather to be happy or embarrassed.

Being the noob I was, I used my master ball on some wild pokemon so I had to spend about 3 hours trying to catch it with ultra balls.

This guy right here. I knew very little about legendaries when I first started on silver, but having this guy show up in the grass made me the most excited I think I've ever been, and I quickly threw my masterball at him. He was also the only legendary I caught in that game.

I have never caught any legendary with a master ball, that's definitely a waste.

Always save the master ball for potential shiny encounters. You know those stories of shiny voltorbs selfdestructing and abras teleporting away?

Don't let it happen to you.

Also my first pokemon game was Gold but I was a retarded kid that killed Ho-oh instead of catching him.

My first legendary was either Raikou or Lugia.

In Red all you have to do is weaken it and keep throwing pokeballs until it gets it to get the birds. They're pretty easy. My first one was zapdos then mewtwo.

Ho-Oh on gold.
It was shiny, but I thought it was supposed to sparkle because it was the mascot. You can't imagine my face when I caught him in another save.
