A new Dragon type would be unsurprising, but hopefully a new combination not as of yet used (or at least, not used by non legendaries). However, most of the Dragon/??? combinations not already explored tend to be non ideal typings (from a metagame sense at least), such as Dragon/Grass or Dragon/Bug. On the other side of the spectrum there is of course Dragon/Fighting or Dragon/Steel which would likely be monstrously strong.
The other alternative is a new, lesser seen typing, like Tyrannitars Rock/Dark or Metagross' Steel/Psychic. I would actually prefer one of these, especially if it came with an ability/stats to help shore up the weaknesses of some of the flimsier types.
