>>12117846Naturally, I picked yes and it went to the actual battle screen, but the music didn't change. Even though I could see it was a bidoof, rather than "A wild Bidoof appeared!" I got the text "a pink nose...". The bidoof's colors were distorted, black while lighter out at the edges and such, as though it was a ghost. Its eyes were completely white and distorted, and the only colored part was - as stated - its pink nose. I thought it was an illusion or something like that, and fled the battle - now getting very unnerved.
I soon ran into another battle and the same "help trainer fight?" screen came up. I picked yes and got into a triple battle with two shady pokemon and one normal one (this was before triple battles existed). The normal pokemon was a type I hadn't seen before, something like a three-headed Doduo with its head above each other (not Dodrio). One of the shadowy ones was the exact same pokémon - its colors were the same, but its heads were hanging and it looked a lot more unsteady, its eyes distorted and looking almost like phantom images of themselves.
The third wild pokémon, I don't even know what it was. I can only recall a ghosty, zombie-like shape... that was on my side, as well. Other than my Scyther, my team had become the same messed-up zombies as those enemies. It wasn't just their looks either, their movesets were messed up to the point that I could no longer tell what they were able to do. I tried telling them to attack. The shadowy members of the team just stood there, no text saying that they had done the move I told them to or anything. Aside from their targets taking damage, there was no indication they had done anything.
It was at that point I woke up.
