Most of my friends are alright. The closest one gets to being nostalgiafag is :Crystal and R/S/E was the goldenage of Pokemon. He still plays the games though.
We all agree Gen 6 came/is coming too fast.

Friend played pokemonMMO for a bit.
Other friend wants to get BW2 but he has no time for it.

I helped two people I know how to get Pokémon workingon their Android, and that's it

During high school, I kept my Pokémon love a secret to get friends.

I enjoyed clubbing in my teenage years, but almost never went because my parents were "Oh you can go, but you have to bring your own money and go by yourself", fully aware they would always dunk all my Birthday money in the bank shortly afterwards and that I didn't have anyone nearby to give me a ride.

Now I simply lost interest, and I don't like loud places. I like a simple, quiet life

After high school I lost a bunch of my friends, but we all got Black/White. Now I have 3 friends, one who just joined the army and knows about my love of the series even though he's a huge Gen 1 fan, I showed him Mewtwo's new form and said "they've ruined pokemon." (but it was before it was confirmed as a form so I called it Mewthree) My other friend says Gen 3 was the last good pokemon games besides HG/SS and when he asked me if I was going to get the new games (referring to X/Y) I said yes and he looked at me like I said the moon was made of cheese. My last friend knows I like pokemon but he's a lot more open, he didn't like gen 5 much but I told him all the new things about X/Y and he got excited.

My two best friends are very open about Pokemon. It's actually what made us friends to begin with, actually.

Since Gen 1, we've always picked our favorite type starters - Grass, Fire, and Water respectively (I was always Grass). I can't wait until 6th gen.

Why is this a question? It's not exactly niche or underground, and maintaining an interest in things from your childhood/childish things is more commonplace and accepted now than ever before. Even if those things weren't true, being "open" about it should be a non-issue. Who gives a shit one way or the other?
