One of the defining characteristics of fairies is that they still children.

And shit-tastic defensive capabilities. Hell, no one even uses Ice-types, they just give their Water-type Ice Beam, because anything less is a liability. Further, that one Ice Beam isn't even for Grass or Flying or Ground, it's for Dragon. That's it. The other three types have better counters.

Kinda based this on less modern day fairies and more tradition fairy folklore. An example would be a weakness towards grass types due to Witch hazel, Forget-Me-Not, and St. John's Wort.

A little pixie that evolves into a fairy and with love a fairy godmother. If we could implement hatred evolution a Witch.

At the very least it HAS TO be SE against Dark and/or Ghost with the ability to hit a Dark/Ghost Super Effectively. I want to ruin Sableye's gimmick so much right now it's not even funny.

I am on the fence whether to assert Fairy should be immune to Ground, since many fairies can levitate or fly or have some sort of supernatural power enabling floating or the like. Only thing is that Clefairy is something I can't see levitating any time soon. So for now, I will not asser it

I would replace it with Dragon, but that just seems TOO mean to Drayden's wrestling buddies. I was kinda going with the logic of the ability "Rattled" being triggered by bug, ghost, and dark moves. Besides, Bug isn't really all too natural and it already has connections with the Psychic and Dark types anyway.

Clefairy, Jigglypuff and Togepi lines would definitely be up there for the first bunch that get retroactively called Fairy types, or Normal/Fairy types like they did to Magneton when they introduced steel.

I imagine we'd get evolutions for stuff like mawile maybe or even sableye related to fairy type, although that's more just wishful thinking than anything else

and plusle and minun would need some sort of trade related, combo evolution before i could see them being fairy type. still waiting on that neutral evolution form of plusle and minun. such wasted potential
